Chapter 5
“I had to see you! Come down!” Luis said.
“I can’t.” She said.
“For a minute. For an hour.” Luis said.
“No I can’t.”
“Then FOREVER!” He yelled.
“Shhh” She said giggling.
“I coming up!” Luis said as he started to scale the balcony.
Luis jumped onto the balcony and held out his right hand,
“A pretty rose for an extraordinary woman.” Luis whispered handing her the delicate rose.
She brought the rose to her nose and inhaled it deeply.
“Thank you.”
“You need to go if my father or Julian catches you their
is no telling what they’ll do!” She said nervously.
“I don’t care! As long as I had one kiss of your lips and
one look into your gorgeous eyes I could die this very instant.”
“Well, don’t say that.” She said.
“Don’t worry I’m not going anywhere.” He said sincerely.
He slowly leaned and kissed her lips lightly. Knowing that
wasn’t enough to satisfy either of them, he deepened the kiss tasting all of her sweetness.
She responded with the same intensity and passion. When
they finally came up for air, they leaned their foreheads upon each other. He lightly kissed her forehead.
“I should probably go.” He whispered not making any move
to leave.
“When will I see you again?”
“Tomorrow.”
“I work at a dress shop with my nephew’s fiancée
Resa’s Designs.
Will you come there tomorrow at closing time 7 o’clock?” Sheridan said.
“Yes I will do anything to see you.”
She smiled lightly as Luis began to climb down the balcony.
“Luis?” she yelled.
“Shhh.” He said giggling as well.
“Good Night Darling.”
Luis pulled himself back up and kissed her one more time.
“Good Night Mi Amore.” He whispered.
Sheridan’s heart fluttered at his words. ‘Mi Amore’
She held onto his hand until he could no longer touch her
anymore. He jumped down and looked back up at her for one last time.
They both mouthed at the same time, “Good Night Mi Amore.”
Luis finally tore himself away from her eyes and headed
home.
She watched him until he disappeared into the night. Thats
when she sighed and stared back up into the stars.
Her eyes fluttered closed and she opened them as a shooting
star shot across the sky.
“My wish already came true.” she whispered into the night.
