Part 3
She dragged her bags into her new apartment and dropped
them with a sigh.
She looked around the little space, ‘It’s small but I like
it.’ she thought to herself as she walked over to the giant window that overlooked Rome.
People were walking around the busy streets. She spotted
happy lovers walking around hand in hand and she cringed.
“Fate doesn’t exist!” she said out loud as she began to
unpack.
She thought back to her last day Harmony. She missed her
family very much and her friends..........
She quickly closed her suitcase as she quietly tiptoed
around her bedroom. She didn’t want to leave but she knew it was for the best.
‘I can’t stay here and live without Ethan.’ she thought
to herself. She pushed back her tears at the of his name.
She would miss Mama, Luis, and Miguel. She would also
miss Whitney and Chad.
‘They told you to tell Ethan the truth. They wanted
to save your relationship with Ethan so bad but you wouldn’t listen.’ a voice nagged the back of her head.
“It’s to late now.” she said out loud.
She finished her note for Mama and she looked out the
window to see her cab roll up in front of her house.
She tiptoed out of her house and walked out the front
door.
The cabby helped her load her luggage into the trunk.
Before leaving she stared up at her house, every memory
she ever had flashing before her eyes, finally letting the tears fall down her face.
“Goodbye.” she whispered before getting into the cab.
Now she stood in her new home in Rome all alone. She clutched
a picture of her Ethan to her chest.
“I’m just not ready to let go.....not yet.”
