Chapter 19
*Knock Knock*
“Oh my gosh!” Gwen said jumping up really fast. She jumped
up so fast however and fell backwards onto the floor.
Hank sat up and couldn’t help but laugh at Gwen as he fixed
his shirt and helped her up.
“It’s just Luis and Sheridan not the Queen of England!”
Hank said in normal cocky tone.
Gwen hit him on the butt.
“Hey don’t hurt the injured man! Or should I say that you’re
the injured one now!” Hank laughed sitting her on the couch.
“Just answer the door!” Gwen said.
Hank walked up and opened the door, “Hey you guys! Come
on in.”
Sheridan and Luis walked into the living room and just
stared around. Pillows were thrown on the floor and a frantic Gwen was fixing her hair and the room.
“We didn’t interrupt anything did we?” Luis said elbowing
Hank gently in the stomach.
“Not really.” Hank said winking at Luis.
“So,” said Gwen fixing up the living room and seating Sheridan
and Luis, “What did you want to talk to us about?”
“Well......Luis and I are engaged.” Sheridan said happily
holding out her hand to reveal a gorgeous diamond.
“Congratulations!!” Gwen said jumping up and hugging Sheridan.
“Yea congrats you guys!” Hank said exchanging hugs with
them both.
“See, what we wanted to ask was your help with our wedding.
Also, Gwen I want you to be my maid of honor.”
“Hank buddy I want you to be my best man!” Luis said.
“Of course!” Gwen said excitedly.
“Yea Buddy!” Hank said shaking Luis’s hand.
“I’m so happy!” Sheridan said clutching Luis’s hand.
“Hey! I’ve got some champagne in the kitchen lets make
a toast.” Hank said running into the kitchen and returning with the bottle and 4 glasses.
Sheridan held up her glass, “To life and love.” she said
leaning over and kissing Luis.
They all raised their glasses, “To life and love.”
“To having you in my life.” Hank whispered to Gwen as he
stroked her hair.
“To loving you forever.” Gwen said kissing Hank with more
passion and love that she has ever felt in her life.
Love always conquers all.
