Chapter 11
Thursday morning dawned bright and early as Hank headed
over to the Sheridan’s cottage to have a Farewell breakfast that Sheridan invited him over for.
He walked up to the door of the cottage and knocked on
it softly. He was greeted by a very chipper Luis.
“Hey buddy!” Luis said letting Hank in. “Sheridan is fixing
up some breakfast and should be out soon.”
“All right. Hey thanks for having me over I mean you guys
didn’t have to do this!” Hank said.
“I said owed ya didn’t I?” Luis smiled.
“Yea I guess.” Hank said.
Luis was about to pry further when Sheridan came out with
a steamy plate of rolls.
“Hey Hank! I’m so glad you could come!” she said setting
the rolls on the table with a steaming pot of coffee.
“Lets eat!” said Luis as they sat down at the table.
Gwen walked out of the bathroom after a long hot shower.
It actually made her feel a little bit better.
She got dressed in a pair of casual pair khakis and a baby
blue blouse.
She wanted to go pour her heart out to the one person that
would listen to her.
So, she grabbed her purse and got in her Mercedes and headed
for Sheridan’s cottage.
“That was really good Sheridan thank you!” “But I really
should be going I have to pack and close up a few things.”
“Are you sure you don’t want to stay any longer?” Sheridan
pried.
“No I should be going.” Hank said hugging her.
“Take care of each other.”
“We will.” Luis said clutching Sheridan and shaking Hank’s
hand.
“So long!” Hank said as he stepped into his car and drove
away from the Crane estate.
Gwen drove up to Sheridan’s Cottage and hopped out her
car running to the door.
She knocked on it slightly and Sheridan answered the door.
“Gwen? What an unexpected surprise come in!” Sheridan said
as she let Gwen.
The two ladies sat on the couch and Gwen just burst into
tears.
“Gwen!! Are you all right? Tell me what happened?” Sheridan
asked.
“Sheridan, I just lost the love of my life.”
