Chapter 10
Hank slammed the door of his house shut as he walked into
his small house. The events that just happened a few hours ago kept playing through his head.
He tried to take a walk on the wharf but that reminded
him off his first encounter with her. He then tried to just relax at the Book Cafe but that just reminded him of
their first date. He walked to the docks to take his brothers boat out for a while but that only reminded him of
their sailing trip.
He was about to crazy! Their were to many reminders of
Gwen all over the town of Harmony.
That is when he knew what he had to do.
He went to his phone and before checking all the messages
that were flashing on his machine he made a quick important phone call.
“Hal? It’s Hank I’ll see you in Washington on Thursday.”
He hung up the phone and checked his messages.
“Hank this Gwen PLEASE pick up the phone!! I need to talk
to you. Their is so many things I have to tell you Please talk to me.......” Hank erased all of the messages.
“Even my own damn house reminds me of her!!” Hank yelled
to the walls.
He then just fell to his knees and stared at the ground.
And one small tear fell down his cheek and hit the ground.
Gwen laid in her bed for hours crying and crying. Her mother
tried to check on her but Gwen kicked her out and her friends tried calling but Gwen refused to take any messages.
All she wanted was to see Hank.
She rolled over on her back and curled up in her covers.
She stared at ceiling for what seemed like hours.
“I did this to myself!” Gwen thought aloud. “I was being
pigheaded and stupid by not just being straight forward with him in the first place. I guess until I lost him or
I was without him for this last week how much I want him to be a part of my life!”
“But that is all over now,” Gwen continued “I’ve ruined
it and he hates me forever. I deserve it though! For all the wrong in my life he was the only thing that turned
out right and now I was stupid and it’s over.”
The tears started streaming down her face. She laid and
had a sleepless night. She watched the sun come up and listened to her alarm go off for her to get up and go to
work. She stared at her alarm, turned it off, and curled back up in her bed.
Tears still falling endlessly.
