Chapter 16
“ETHAN! NO!?!?” Theresa said screaming and kicking her
arms as she felt someone grab her and start to gently shake her.
“Theresa? Theresa!! Wake up.”
Theresa’s eyes shot open. She looked around at her surroundings
seeing that she was still in her room at the B&B and she was still in her dress from the night before.
“It was so real! My dream was so real.” she kept whispering
over and over.
She looked up into the worried eyes of her new friend Hank
Bennett. “Theresa, are you ok?” he said worriedly still clutching her arms.
“After last night and my dream, I’m on the verge of a break
down.” She said breaking away from him and quickly changing into a different pair clothes.
“Listen, Theresa I have some good new and bad news.” Hank
started.
“Oh, am I supposed to want to here the bad news or the
good news first?” she said bitterly.
“You may want to hear the good news first this time.” Hank
said quietly.
Theresa looked up quickly and then sat down in front of
him. “I’ll listen.”
“Gwen and Ethan aren’t getting married. I had sat and watched
Gwen tell her parents and the Crane’s the truth about everything. I also watched Ethan leave the party in desperation
to find you.”
Theresa sat in shock at the news she had just received.
‘It’s not true......he loves me....I’m not doomed after all.....”
She was so happy but then it hit her, “Hank? If Ethan left
to find me he would’ve been here.” Thats when her mind drifted back to her nightmare.
“What happened to him?”
“There was an accident.......he’s not doing to good......his
car was side swiped by another and he crashed into a telephone pole.”
Fresh tears began to fall down her cheeks. She couldn’t
lose him not after she just lost him and found him again.
“He needs you. I’ve come to take you to the hospital, Gwen
is already there, he needs your love to pull through this.”
She wiped her tears away knowing she had to be strong for
him. She placed her hand in Hank’s preparing herself for the worst.
